Pittier's Crab-eating Rat
Pittier's Crab-eating Rat (Ichthyomys pittieri) is a species of semiaquatic rodent in the family Cricetidae.[2] It is found only in Venezuela. Its natural habitats are rivers and swamps. It is notable for having the highest chromosome number known for a mammal, 2n = 92.[3]
